The Ketelsen family’s world has been turned upside down as their beloved daughter, Sami, faces yet another battle with metastatic osteosarcoma. At just 17, Sami has already endured more than most do in a lifetime. She’s been fighting cancer since she was 14, lost her right leg to the disease, and now faces a reoccurrence in her bone. Through it all, Sami’s spirit remains unshattered. Her joyful presence and radiant smile light up every room, and her unwavering faith inspires everyone around her. The Ketelsen family’s strength and love for one another are truly remarkable, but the road ahead is filled with uncertainty and challenges.

With a biopsy scheduled at the Mayo Clinic on July 20th, the family is preparing for an extended stay far from home, not knowing how long they’ll be away or what the next steps in Sami’s treatment will look like. There are many unknowns...whether they’ll qualify for clinical trials, if treatment will continue at Mayo, or require travel to MD Anderson in Texas. On top of the emotional and physical toll, the financial strain is immense. Their Honda Pilot, with over 70,000 miles, urgently needs a new timing belt and water pump to safely make these critical trips. The family also faces mounting expenses for gas, food, and lodging during their time away.

Sami and her family have shown incredible courage and faith, but they cannot do this alone.
