Support Samaria's Journey to Heart Health
Donation protected
My co-worker Jaiden had her baby girl Samaria Jade on September 20th, 2024. Samaria was diagnosed the following day with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). This was not caught on any of her sonograms, nor was Jaiden aware of this at all during her pregnancy leaving no time to prepare or plan for this beforehand. On September 21st Samaria was diagnosed and air flighted to a children’s hospital for better care with this also placing her in an hospital over an hour from where her parents live.
Samaria is in the NICU and has a long road ahead of her. She will need multiple surgeries and is looking at up to 8 months in the hospital. Samaria needs intensive and around the clock care. With all of this comes bills that need to be taken care of. Samaria currently does not have insurance as her parents wait for her SS card.
There is also extra financial burdens of gas to and from the hospital and food on the go. Jaiden also has a two year old to care for and the decision to make of whether to return to work or take extra time to be at the hospital with Samaria.
We are asking for donations at this time to lesson the financial stress on Samaria’s parents. Anything helps.
We ask that you please say a prayer that Samaria comes home healthy and with a strong heart!
update 10/02/24 Samaria has her first surgery tomorrow. I will write an update after her surgery to let everyone know how she is doing. Please send prayers for a successful surgery!!
update 10/06/2024 Samaria’s surgery went great. After the surgery she was given medication to paralyze her when she would move her arms her heart rate would go down to low. Exciting news she was strong enough this morning to close her chest as she progresses in her journey. She does have a pacer currently to help her heart beat faster. She has an angry spot in her heart where the upper part of the heart is supposed to beat first and the bottom second but sometimes they beat at the same time and this is not good. Hopeful the pacer will fix this issue if not medication is an option. If the pacer can maintain this issue baby Samaria will be woken up tomorrow.
