Support Samarah's Journey to Study Abroad!

Hi everyone! My name is Samarah Booker, and I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Child Health and Wellbeing. I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the University of Stirling’s International Summer School Program in Scotland! This opportunity means the world to me; not only will it allow me to immerse myself in a new culture, but it will also deepen my understanding of child development and mental health from a global perspective.

As a young African American woman passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, studying abroad represents more than just academic growth, it’s a chance to expand my worldview and bring those experiences back to my community. While I’m honored to have been accepted, the cost of travel, housing, and tuition for the program is a significant financial challenge. That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your support.
