My name is Samantha and I'll just dive right into it. My mom and dad separated when I was a little girl, maybe 3 or 4. My mom was from Europe and my dad was in the military. We lost touch!!! I grew up with my dad until I was 11 or 12 and he passed away!! He was an amazing person! I was left with my stepmom and thrown into the system!! I never stopped looking for my mom or for answers. I loved her so much and yearned to know her!! When I was 23, I got a message on FB from her and I couldn't be more excited!! I am just like her in numerous ways and I have a brother and sister. They live in Florida and my sister in Georgia!! Due to my own struggles with drug addiction, bad relationships, and her struggling to fight cancer, a lot of time passed. We didn't meet each other until last summer. I was hoping it was the beginning of many more visits!!! We've always stayed in touch and have a strong bond despite the distance!! I am desperate to go see her but am not financially able to!! My ma is not doing so well and her days on this earth are coming to a painful end and its unsure how much is left. She is on hospice and I just want to be able to hug her and see her while I still can!!!
