Hello, my name is Zoe – I am starting this GoFundMe for my wonderful lifemate Samantha. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cervical cancer called adenosquamous carcinoma, after an irregular pap smear in late 2025. Since then, she has been dealing with many medical complications that have arisen since undergoing several procedures as a result of the cancer. As a self-employed chef she has worked as much as she possibly can during this time leading up to her surgeries.

So far, she has had three medical procedures, an MRI, countless ER & doctor visits to get this under control with her team at Memorial Sloan Kettering. However, her insurance is now starting to deny certain medical requests made by the doctors. That alone is a battle no one should have to fight when trying to overcome cancer.

What initially was set to be a laparoscopic hysterectomy to remove the cancer in April will now be something far more severe. Throughout months of testing, the doctors have discovered tears in other organs. The surgery, on Tuesday, May 26th – will now be open, span almost 12 full hours, include four different surgeons, and will entail removing not only the cancer but parts of her large intestine, bladder, and colon. As you may imagine, the recovery will take a couple months of bed rest. It will not be easy by any means, but we are ready to be there for her every step of the way.

She is a single mom of a beautiful, brilliant, teenager & doing her best to hold it together. Unfortunately, she has very little familial support besides a few close friends.

I'm hoping that together we can pool some resources to keep her afloat while she focuses on her health & healing. She was by my side every step of the way as I battled my own healthcare scares last year with the fervor of a mama bear – and I am hoping to return the favor for this incredible human.
