As many of you know, my granddaughter Samantha Neal is going through an incredibly challenging time. On April 26th at 8:15 p.m., Samantha was involved in a serious car accident near Woodlake. The accident resulted in her breaking her back and needing emergency surgery. Her doctor has said she will be disabled for over 2 years before she can hope to get back to normal. Since the surgery, her recovery has been slow—she still can't move her neck or sit up and must remain laying flat. The road ahead will require a long rehabilitation plan and ongoing therapy, and she will be unable to work for quite some time.
Samantha is a single mother to her 8-year-old daughter, and I am currently caring for her daughter as her grandmother while Samantha recovers. Our biggest concern is making sure Samantha can keep her apartment and provide for her daughter until she is able to get on disability. The funds raised will go directly toward covering her rent and utility bills, easing her financial burden so she can focus on healing and getting the therapy she needs.
Samantha has always been a positive and happy person, always smiling and willing to help anyone in any way she could. She has touched so many lives with her kindness and generosity, and now she needs our support more than ever. We are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who has been touched by Samantha's spirit. Whether you are able to donate or simply share this fundraiser, your support means the world to us. Thank you for your prayers and for standing by Samantha during this difficult journey.
