Samantha Ebert is a vibrant 22 year old, a former university student heading into her final year before receiving a heartbreaking diagnosis. Anyone who knows Samantha, knows she’s always lived an incredibly active lifestyle— she loved running, working out, playing volleyball, and serving in her church.

Everything changed in the Summer of 2023 when she became severely ill. By the Fall, her condition worsened, and she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance due to extreme chest pain. What followed were months of uncertainty and countless tests until she finally received a diagnosis of Chronic Lyme Disease and multiple other complications.

Since then, she has relied on a PICC line and other treatments to manage the disease, providing some relief, but taking a significant toll on her body. She can no longer continue with these treatments and has been slowly declining since January.

If you don't know Samantha personally, you might be familiar with her music, which reflects the challenges and pain she's experienced over the past couple of years. She writes and records songs from her bedroom, offering comfort and encouragement to those who relate to her journey. However, behind the lyrics, Samantha is struggling, and after dealing with substantial medical expenses as most of her treatments have not been covered by insurance, she is now in need of our support.

Why We Need Your Help

In Canada, there are no treatment options available that can fully address Samantha’s condition. However, she has been accepted into a specialized treatment center in the USA, offering an intensive 4-week program where a team of doctors will address all aspects of her health. This is her best chance at recovery, but the costs are overwhelming, and the conversion to U.S. funds significantly increases the financial burden.
