Support Sam & Ryan’s Rescue Mission for Kittens

Sam Bebee and her husband Ryan have always been big animal lovers, caring for a small zoo of their own and dreaming of starting a rescue one day. They even look after a colony of neighborhood strays, doing their best to TNR the boys whenever possible. This past weekend, Ryan found a box at the end of a cul-de-sac in the middle of the day. Inside were two very young kittens, left alone in the sun with no water or food. Ryan brought them home immediately for Sam to examine, while he checked the area for any other kittens that might have been left behind.

The first few days were tough. At first, Sam and Ryan thought the kittens were about two weeks old, but after noticing they had all their teeth, they realized the babies were closer to four weeks old but severely underweight, weighing only 200g when a healthy kitten should weigh 350 to 550g. Sam watched over them around the clock, bottle feeding and caring for them selflessly. Having known Sam and Ryan for a long time, I can say they always put animals in need before their own needs. It's never been easy for them to ask for help, so I took it upon myself to create this GoFundMe to help raise the money needed to support and care for these babies.

Some details about these cutie patooties:
Goop (Orange Male) weighed 358g as of 6am 4/24. He was the worst off of the two when they got them, and they weren't sure he was going to make it through the night. His eye was sealed shut, and they initially thought he might lose it. Turns out it was shut from goop hardening and really just needed to be cleaned out. He's had a teeeeeny bit of antibiotic ointment since and has basically been fine. He's a cuddle bug and reminds us of a fluffy potato. Hoping he keeps his floof!

Mongo (Grey Calico Female) weighed 382g as of 6am 4/24. She is a lunatic (in the best way!)—a huge eater, loves to be held and pet, and is SO curious. She was the first out of the nest, first to accept people, and first to go exploring beyond "blanketlandia" (their play area). She is doing so well and surprisingly weighs more than Goop even though he looks much bigger. She is a sweetheart and has stolen our hearts. She has very soft calico coloring, mostly grey and white with some cute orange spots, and we're excited to see what colors come through as she gets older.

Unfortunately, having such a big heart doesn't pay the expenses it takes to get these kittens healthy and strong. Over the next few weeks, Sam and Ryan will need help covering multiple vet visits and checkups, deworming, vaccines, blood work, and ultimately spaying/neutering before the kittens can find their forever home. With Ryan currently out of work, their personal funds are very tight. They just need some help to care for these fur balls while staying afloat themselves. Any support you can offer will make a huge difference for Sam, Ryan, and these kittens, giving them a chance at a healthy life and a loving home.

Here’s a breakdown of the costs from their vet:
- Deworming: $65 x2
- Spay: $177 (includes meds)
- Neuter: $177 (includes meds)
- Vaccines: $134 x2
Total: $752

If we happen to exceed that goal, the additional funds will go to their needs, with food, toys, and enrichment. Thank you for reading and helping give these babies a chance!
