Support Sam in Honoring Brandi's Memory

Donation protected
Hey, thanks for taking a second to look at the GoFundMe story. Whether you can donate or just share, we appreciate you. I’m Savannah Quick and I am looking to help Sam Mcmillian financially with the loss of his wife Brandi Mcmillian.

As most of you may know, on June 6th, 2024, Brandi lost her 5-year battle with cancer. Brandi was diagnosed with lung cancer in July of 2019. For 5 years, she gave cancer a run for its money, between chemo, radiation, no longer being able to work, and the things treatment did to her body, she held out strong until June 6th.

Back in May of this year, Sam and Brandi took a family cruise (cruising is part of living their best lives). Before the cruise, Brandi started to have some health trouble due to the cancer. Out of the blue, they went anyways. When she got back, within 48 hours, she was hospitalized with fluid build-up in her lungs where they drained almost 3 liters of fluid from one of her lungs. She was swollen all over her whole body, in severe pain, and as you can guess, it just kept going downhill. About 2 weeks after being home from their cruise, they ultimately had to make a decision to pause treatment and possibly bring in hospice, while hoping for a miracle. Unfortunately, they had to come to terms with Brandi’s fight coming to an end and focus on making her comfortable with the help of her Mom, Karen, and hospice.
Sam has basically been out of work since they took the cruise and been home caring for Brandi with Karen.

Sam and Brandi are the most giving, selfless people I have ever met in my life. They are family to us so I want to help in any way that I can. Brandi is one of my best friends and an Aunt to my son. She took on me being a new mom with me. It breaks my heart that I am even here writing this.

BUT Sam needs our help a little bit financially while he plans for services and funeral costs as well as catching up a little bit financially. If you can donate, no matter the amount, we would be forever grateful and if you can only share this link at this time, we understand and are still forever grateful.

Sam plans to have things more sorted out in the next 2 weeks and is hoping to hold services for Brandi towards the end of the month. I will update as we go.

Words from Sam-
We always said that we were prepared for this day to come and I can tell you first hand that no matter how prepared you are it does not make it any easier. We were married for 22 years as of march and have made many memories that many people dream of but never are able to do and I will forever hold those memories close to me until we meet again!

To everyone who reads this please live your life with your loved ones to the fullest each and every day as tomorrow is never guaranteed!
