Support Sam Henderson's Fight Against Leukemia

September 11th means so much to so many people; however, it holds a different meaning to me now. Receiving a message stating if you want to hear what the ER doctors believe is going on, you drop everything, which is what happened for my brother, Sam Henderson. Someone who doesn't ask for help but would be first in line to offer help was subtly asking for help. Hearing the words, we believe he has Leukemia, was a complete shock. Seeing your very strong brother afraid isn't a normal thing. After further tests the next day, it was confirmed he does have Leukemia; now to figure out which type and treatment plan. More poking and more tests, we now know he has PH+ ALL Leukemia. His treatment will be in Nashville at Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute (which is fantastic). Lots of traveling back and forth to get the medical treatment he needs to kick this cancer's butt.
Now it's time to spring into action to help him.
During all of this, we found out his employer doesn't have short or long-term disability. Additionally, due to the type of cancer he has, he isn't allowed to work for an undetermined amount of time. He doesn't have any income coming in, but there are still bills to be paid. We have applied for SSI disability; now we wait and hope for approval. He's moved in with Scott and me for as long as he needs to.
He nor I are the types to ask for help; however, we need your help for Sam. One of the greatest men I know and by far the best brother a sister could or would ask for.
Keep the prayers coming as he fights this cancer.
