Support Sam Edgar to USA for SXSW festival

Donation protected
Hi, my Schoolmate Sam Edgar has recently been accepted into the First Nation X program for his business, KAARLI. First Nation X is leading a delegation of 8 First Nation entrepreneurs from Western Australia to SXSW Austin as part of the First Nation House initiative.

The WA Government sponsors the trade delegation offering a booth and organising the itinerary.

There are additional costs getting to the USA with flights, accommodation, transport costs, food and tickets plus being away from his family for the week and estimates the total cost for the 10 days to be around $15,000.

Sam is able to contribute $5,000, thoughhe is seeking $10,000 support to help him get there and make the most of the opportunity.

Below is more info on Sam and his intent, along with info on the SXSW festival.

I personally vouch for Sam as an all-around great guy who is not only a great dad but however an active community member as an employee at FMG and sharing his culture and story through his business, KAARLI.

First Nation X and SXSW festival

SXSW is one of the world’s largest and most influential gatherings of creative professionals, innovators, and business leaders. Spanning music, film, technology, and entrepreneurship, SXSW provides a global platform for groundbreaking ideas, networking, and collaboration. It is the perfect stage to showcase the extraordinary innovation and leadership emerging from Indigenous businesses.
First Nations X is a dedicated organisation that empowers Indigenous entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders to thrive on the global stage. We aim to cultivate a thriving ecosystem for First Nations businesses, fostering economic
prosperity and self-determination. Our initiatives bridge Australian Indigenous businesses with international opportunities, promoting collaboration, cultural exchange, and sustainable growth.

First Nations House at SXSW will be a dynamic hub for showcasing Indigenous excellence, connecting businesses, and fostering meaningful relationships between First Nations entrepreneurs and international partners. The house will host panel discussions, networking events, and showcases that elevate Indigenous innovation, highlighting the unique perspectives and capabilities we bring to the global market.
