A few weeks ago our family received devastating news. Our brother Sam was diagnosed with cancer and has just undergone surgery. Over the coming weeks he faces additional testing to determine whether chemotherapy or radiation will be necessary, and we don’t yet know what that road looks like.

Sam and his wife recently bought a home and are raising four young children. Surgery and recovery have already forced him to step away from work. As you can imagine, this would put an enormous amount of financial pressure on any family: medical costs, lost income, and the everyday expenses of keeping a young family afloat don’t pause while someone fights cancer.

We created this fundraiser so that Sam doesn’t have to spend his recovery worrying about bills. We want him focused on one thing: getting back to his family.
