My brother Sam D'Costa recently endured a terrible accident while riding on the back of a Vespa. An auto rickshaw suddenly veered into his lane and collided with him, causing him to take a devastating fall. The impact left him with severe injuries—his left leg suffered a broken bone, bent unnaturally, with marrow visible from the wound. His right foot was also badly injured, with broken bones and torn nerves.

Sam was rushed to the hospital, where he faced further challenges. Despite his critical condition, he was left waiting in pain for hours with only minimal care, his wounds still bleeding. After a long wait, he was finally transferred to a trauma unit where he’s now receiving the treatment he urgently needs. However, the hospital requires a significant upfront payment of 50,000 Taka (half a lakh) to proceed with the full treatment, and the total medical expenses are expected to reach 500,000 Taka (5 Lakh).

Sam is a fighter, but he needs our support now more than ever. We’re asking all of Sam’s loved ones, friends, and anyone who can help to donate whatever they can. No contribution is too small—every little bit will make a difference in helping Sam get back on his feet.
