Support Sam Correa's Breast Cancer Battle

In early July 2024, our amazing friend Sam Correa got the unfortunate news of a breast cancer diagnosis, following the biopsy of a lump found during a self-exam. Luckily, the doctors believe this is early stage.

After diagnosis, a blood test revealed a genetic predisposition to future breast cancers. So, on August 20th, 2024, Sam will undergo a double mastectomy, both to remove any current cancer and to try and prevent future ones.

Thankfully, Sam has medical insurance but insurance can’t cover everything and her portion of surgery costs are extremely large. After the mastectomy will come a reconstructive surgery, and then potentially future chemo and radiation sessions. We’re asking for help in covering Sam’s current and future surgery bills, as well as the loss of income as her FMLA leave will not replace all of her salary.
