We know so many people love Sam and his family! We have set-up a Give InKind page to let people follow medical and other updates.
Standing with Sam, Mary and their Children
Our family is still finding our footing after learning that my brother, Sam, at just 43, has been diagnosed with an inoperable and aggressive brain tumor. It’s the kind of news that rearranges life instantly—plans shift, routines change, and the future suddenly feels different. For Sam, his wife Mary, and their three young children—Eila, Isaac, and Silas—the past few weeks have been filled with appointments, conversations no one imagined needing to have, and an entirely new and unpredictable rhythm to daily life.
If you know Sam, you know the kind of husband and father he is: present, steady, endlessly patient, and always fully engaged in the ordinary moments that mean the most. He’s a quiet anchor for his family. With his symptoms and diagnosis, Sam can no longer work, and Mary is balancing meeting their family's financial needs with caregiving, parenting, and an avalanche of logistics—while simply trying to protect some sense of normalcy for their kids.
This GoFundMe was created to help relieve the financial pressure of losing Sam’s income while the family focuses on what truly matters: his care, their children’s stability, and time together.
A Remarkable Community
One of the bright spots in this difficult chapter has been witnessing the extraordinary kindness from the people around them. Family, friends, neighbors, and their community have shown up in ways big and small—meals arriving at the door, last-minute playdates and school pick-ups covered without hesitation. Sam and Mary feel this support deeply, and it has made the hardest days a little lighter.
Any amount you’re able to give will help create stability for their family as they navigate this new reality. Thank you so very much for being a part of holding them up.
