The evening of Sunday, May 11th (Mother’s Day), our neighbor's house went up in flames, catching the house next to theirs on fire as well. In the tragedy, they lost their home and every single thing in it: phones, wallets, pictures, memories, etc. The house that caught on fire next to theirs unfortunately had a fur baby inside that did not make it. Sam and Blanca are some of the absolute sweetest humans I have ever met. They have brought our kids Christmas presents, come over regularly with home-cooked meals and treats, and have even come over and done our yard work unexpectedly while we weren’t home. My heart breaks for them as well as the family next to them that lost their home and their pup. Sam is currently in the hospital with life threatening injuries. I am hoping to raise money for these families to help them get through this awful tragedy.
