Support Sam and Stacia's Health Journey

Hello Friends and Family,

My name is Rosie Thompson. Stacia and I have been best friends for almost 30 years! Basically a sister from another mister. When she met Sam, I gained a brother. I had the honor of marrying them in 2019.

Sam and Stacia are two of the most wonderful people you can meet. They both give unconditional love and support to each other, their families, friends, and furry creatures in so many ways.

Over the past few years, both Stacia and Sam have struggled with their health.

In 2020, Sam was officially diagnosed with kidney cancer and underwent a nephrectomy, leaving him with one kidney.

In 2021, after struggling for many years, Stacia finally concluded that a much-needed hysterectomy had to happen.

In 2023, Sam had an extremely painful testicular growth removed. Thankfully, the biopsy was benign! A huge win, right? Well, we all thought so, but through a blood test for this surgery, Sam was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February of 2024.

This July, Sam will undergo his 5th surgery in the past 4 years! Over these 4 years, their family has endured much financial instability due to these medical issues. With mounting medical costs and lost time from work, they never seem to recover financially. It is my hope that their friends and family can rally to help them through this difficult time. Sam doesn’t have enough PTO or sick time to cover his expected recovery time. Though his job is being very understanding and supportive by modifying his work, it will still be a challenge making ends meet. Stacia, being an entrepreneur, has no PTO to cover the days she will miss taking care of Sam.
