Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
The devastating Eaton Fire has wreaked havoc across Altadena, California, and surrounding areas, leading to widespread evacuations and destruction. My brother, Sam, and his wife, Jodi, are among the many residents affected. Due to the National Guard securing the area, they are currently unable to confirm the status of their home. The uncertainty, combined with the emotional and financial strain, has been overwhelming.
While they are working diligently with their insurance provider and FEMA to address the losses, these processes can be time-consuming and may not cover all immediate or unexpected expenses. We have created this GoFundMe to support their urgent needs — basic necessities, and other critical costs that are not covered or will not be fully covered by insurance or FEMA assistance. All donations will go directly toward easing the financial burden on their family as they navigate this challenging time.
Important Note: This fundraiser is separate from and does not affect any ongoing insurance or FEMA claims. We are committed to following all regulations and guidelines to ensure that this campaign does not jeopardize any coverage or assistance they may be eligible for. Your generosity provides immediate relief for gaps that insurance and government programs may not fully address.
We are deeply grateful for any support you can provide, whether through donations or by sharing this campaign with others. Every contribution helps them move one step closer to rebuilding their lives and returning to a sense of normalcy.
Sam and Joyti have always been pillars of their community, and now, in their time of need, we hope to rally support around them. Let's come together to help them rebuild their lives and find hope amidst the ashes.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Organizer and beneficiary
