Update on Sam 8/14/25...
I am so excited to let you all know that after 30 days in the hospital, Sam is currently en route to an in patient rehab facility in Athens!! He is expecting to be there at least another two weeks.
He has been through so much and still has a lot of work ahead, but is one tough and resilient guy. Thank you all so much for all the continued love and support.

An update on Sam. 8/6/25....
Hey everyone,
3 weeks in and we’re happy to say things are finally looking up. After 3 rounds of leukapheresis and a 24-hour continuous chemo treatment, Sam’s white blood cell count is back to normal and holding steady.
He still has a ways to go and because he is unable to stand on his own and has a lot of bad wounds from the various treatments, the plan is to transfer him to a rehab center near Snellville this Friday (close to Amanda and me) but he’s feeling pretty positive and motivated.
Sam can’t thank you all enough for the love and support. Once he is home and feeling himself again he plans on personally sending you all thank you’s! But for now know he is feeling the love!

Friends and family.
We would like to request your thoughts, prayers, or best wishes for our nephew, Sam Adams. Sam was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia nine years ago. While it's not unheard of, it is very rare for someone in their twenties to develop CML.
Over the last nine years Sam has experienced ups and downs, but has generally done well. Recently, however, his body kicked into overdrive and his white count reached an incredibly high 800,000.
Over the past week and a half the doctors have been able to get the leukemia back under control, but the byproduct of having such an incredibly high white count is additional complications throughout Sam's body. The CML is causing lesions on his spine, making it difficult for him to walk. He maintains feeling in his legs but is unable to control his muscles at this time.
Sam has already missed two weeks of work and probably has at least another 4 to 6 weeks of recovery.
To know Sam is to love him. He is an all around amazing guy: a loving son, supportive brother and cousin, and a great dad to two young kids. Any donation would be greatly appreciated, and help Sam to focus solely on his recovery.
Thanks so much for your support!
