Hi, my name is Maria. Today, I received heartbreaking news — my children’s father, Salvador (also known as Chava), has been diagnosed with cancer.

We don’t have many details yet, but what we do know is that due to his status, he cannot receive the treatment he needs here in the U.S. As a result, he’ll be returning to Mexico to seek care.

This has been especially difficult for our kids, Valerie (19) and Iori (16), who now have to say goodbye to their dad under incredibly painful circumstances.
