I am Salvador Espinosa. Some of you know me well, but for those who don´t, I live in Tepoztlan, Mexico, I am 64 years old and I have been dedicated to filming documentaries on living authentic traditions that bring wisdom to the world at these challenging times for humanity.

As I write this, I connect to a very deep appreciation for all the amazing help I received a year and half ago when I almost lost my life and could have ended up paraplegic.
In one of the several surgeries I had, metal plates with various screws were installed in my sacrum, in order to support it and allow it to rebuild, since it suffered several serious fractures.
With great joy I can share that I am very grateful to find out that the metal plates have worked and that the sacrum has completely consolidated. However, the plates are causing me great difficulties when I walk, sit, or sleep. One screw has loosened, and the other screws are causing excruciated pain to the point that not even strong medications can help me to alleviate the pain. During the past few months, the discomfort and the limitations these meal plates produce have been increasing.
I have been consulting with several specialists about removing the metal plates, concerned that if they stay in place they may cause more damage and the possibility of greater disability.
The orthopedic surgeon has explained to me that removing the plates and screws will greatly improve the discomfort, so I need to undergo a new surgery as soon as possible.
In order to be able to do this surgery, I need to collect the necessary funds and I am humbly requesting your help, in whatever measure is possible for you.
The total expenses will be $85,000 Mexican pesos (4,250 dollars). This amount covers hospital costs, medical team fees, tests, physiotherapy and expenses during the recovery period, which I have been told will take a few days.

Escribo esto con una apreciación muy profunda por toda la increíble ayuda que recibí hace un año y medio cuando casi perdí la vida y podría haber quedado parapléjico.
En una de las varias cirugías que tuve, me instalaron placas de metal con varios tornillos para ayudar al sacro, para sostenerlo y permitir que se reconstruyera, ya que sufrió varias fracturas graves.
Con gran alegría puedo compartir que estoy muy agradecido de descubrir que las placas de metal han funcionado y que el sacro se ha consolidado por completo.
Sin embargo, los placas me causan grandes dificultades cuando camino, me siento o duermo. Un tornillo se aflojó y los otros tornillos están causando un fuerte dolor hasta el punto de que ni siquiera los medicamentos pueden ayudarme a aliviar el dolor.
Durante los últimos meses, la incomodidad y las limitaciones que producen estas placas han ido en aumento.
He estado consultando con varios especialistas sobre quitar las placas, preocupado de que si permanecen en su lugar puedan causar más daños y la posibilidad de una mayor discapacidad.
El cirujano ortopédico me explicó que quitar las placas y los tornillos mejorará en gran medida las molestias, por lo que debo someterme a una nueva cirugía lo antes posible.
Para poder realizar esta cirugía, necesito recolectar los fondos necesarios y solicito humildemente su ayuda, en la medida que sea posible para algunos de ustedes.
Los gastos totales serán de $ 85,000 pesos mexicanos (4,250 dólares). Esta cantidad cubre los costos hospitalarios, los honorarios del equipo médico, los examenes, la fisioterapia y los gastos durante el período de recuperación, que según me dijeron tomará algunos días.
