Support Salty Brick Market's Recovery Efforts

Dear friends, family, and community,

We are reaching out during a difficult time for our favorite downtown Market. Salty Brick Market recently had an apartment fire on the top floor of our building triggering the sprinkler system. We are incredibly thankful to Bangor Fire Department’s quick response, and that there were no injuries to humans or animals. The sprinklers caused severe water damage throughout our grocery store and basement, which was used for storage.

Unfortunately, the damage was extensive, leading to a total loss. This has left us not only without products to sell but also without income for our employees and a safe gathering place for downtown Bangor.

Navigating insurance claims is proving to be a lengthy and challenging process, and we are unsure how long it will take to receive the funds needed to recover fully.

For the last 2.5 years Salty Brick Market has always been more than just a grocery store; it's a place where our community routinely comes for grab & go lunch at our salad bar, snacks, and essentials. We pride ourselves on offering quality products and a sense of community and inclusion. Now, we need your help to rebuild and recover from this disaster.

We are seeking to raise funds to cover:

- Replenishing our stock to get back on our feet & serving our community.

- Addressing the water damage and restoring the store.

- Replacing Essential Equipment

- Providing financial assistance to our staff during this challenging time.
