Hello, I am Sal. I am an EMT-B and I am half Raramuri indigenous from northern Mexico. I am an artist and muralist with a passion for social justice. This has led me to pursue emergency medicine as a career and as a lifestyle.

I have been accepted into a paramedic program through a private teaching hospital that is about a year long. The total cost of the program is $11,000.00, which I am unable to afford on my own. Unfortunately, there are minimal financial assistance opportunities for this program as it is a private institution.

I am asking for help from you in any amount to help cover these costs, which I will use to cover the program and the expenses as I dedicate 40 hrs per week to this study/practice for the next year. In the future, I hope to be able to be an asset to vulnerable communities globally. This would facilitate the care I am able to provide in a conflict zone, natural disaster, or rural setting where not a lot of medical services exist. I want to contribute volunteer services in emergency medicine where they are needed most. This goal is something I am passionate about and something I feel I need support in. Thanks.
