Support Sal's Battle with ALS
Donation protected
April 11, 2024. Sal was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), which is a disease affecting nerve cells and the spinal cord. Sal's symptoms started in October 2023 when he gradually lost complete feeling in his right leg until he could no longer use it to walk. Shortly after, he lost his ability to use his arms. With this disease, he has become dependent on a wheelchair with other major care and lifestyle changes. Unfortunately, this disease is not curable.
Family and friends have come together to raise money that will be used to give Sal the accommodations he will need medically and to make his home accessible for his current and future needs as this disease progresses.
Sal is 54 years of age and up until his mobility was taken from him, he was the most hardworking man you would ever come into contact with. He has worked hard all his life for his family and would offer help to anyone whenever he could. To know Sal is to love him.
We are having a benefit, we will be selling food plates and having a live auction. We are in hopes of gathering donation items for the auction. If you prefer to support by donating cash, it can be accepted at the event. The event will take place on December 7th at The Lions Club in Ponchatoula, LA.
