Life is unpredictable, we are reminded of that everyday… no matter how much or how well we plan, life has its own plans for us. Hang on tight as I am about to share an unpredictable and heartbreaking story with you.
Meet Salma Talib, a mother of four beautiful children, and wife of late Talib Raza. Salma and her family moved to Las Vegas, NV - USA in 2010, with 4 little girls and big dreams for new beginnings. Salma and Talib worked hard together to provide for their children, and slowly but surely made a beautiful world for themselves. They were a happy family, great neighbors and reliable friends… Everything seemed to be going well; however, life had other plans for them when in 2013, Talib was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. He was admitted in the hospital immediately, fighting the disease, and losing the battle in less than two months. The treatment and related expenses costed Salma every penny and unrecoverable damage to their family business. Talib’s death left Salma with 4 children (ages 3, 5, 14 and 17), unforgettable loss and years of sorrow and hardship. Although it wasn’t easy, Salma made all efforts to start fresh for the sake of her children. She worked hard day and night to re-establish the family dry-cleaner business, all the while taking care of her children and fulfilling the roles of both, mother and father. Salma’s burden started to lessen when her oldest daughter, Sakeena, started working part time job to help her mother. A couple years later, Mariam, the second oldest daughter also started working part time to help support the family. The family remained strong, fighting their daily battles and eventually becoming stable. However, unfortunately and yet again, life had stricken them with another trial when in early 2018 Sakeena started becoming ill and found that she has Chronic Leukemia. Sakeena is currently undergoing treatment and fighting for her life, while Salma is devasted, disheartened and very broken, emotionally and financially. The sudden shock has dragged Salma back to the time when her husband was fighting a similar battle. Salma is helpless and needs morale and financial support. Please make prayer for Sakeena’s good health and Salma’s survival, and PLEASE make a donation to SUPPORT SALMA’S SURVIVAL as soon as possible.
