Support Sally Whitman's cancer treatment

Donation protected
After 15 years of living with a hard-to-eradicate malignant head tumour, my dear friend Sally is now facing another operation, which the surgeons have described as  'last ditch surgery', to remove the latest regrowth, scheduled for 4th July.  Prior to this she has been offered inpatient treatment at the Camphill Wellbeing Trust (CWT) Medical Centre in Aberdeen, and I’m fundraising to help her afford this. Donations of any size are vitally needed and will be much appreciated as soon as possible.

Sally, 65, has already lost her external ear and eardrum and been partially palsied. She will now lose some of her jaw and remaining facial nerve function.  Although the surgeons plan to take a wide margin, Sally recognises that the tumour may still return. She is keen to maximise her chances by using both conventional and complementary medicine this time.

The intensive Mistletoe protocol at CWT Aberdeen is a holistic, plant-based, whole-person approach, which, in our opinion and according to research and scientific evidence, strengthens the immune system and the life force while directly tackling the tumour. It is widely used in Europe and Sally has two friends with similar tumours who feel sure that they have contained them for years due to this treatment. Whilst malignant, her tumour is slow-growing, which could give the mistletoe a better chance to do its job, maximising her chances of a sustained recovery by boosting her immune system as well as targeting the cancer cells.

Sally has had a varied career, working in mining engineering, IT and local government.  19 years ago she set up her nutrition consultancy service, Blackberry Nutrition.  She has lectured widely in businesses such as GCHQ and British Energy, and enjoyed helping people to improve their health and wellbeing through nutritional and lifestyle change. She had intended to go on working for many more years, but had to retire in 2016 after a major operation.  She greatly misses the personal client work.

Sally is fortunate to be otherwise fit and well, and loves living in Stroud, where she has a wide circle of friends and enjoys walking, gardening, dancing, singing, bird watching, badminton and qi gong practice. She has started to write and recite poetry, has been published in a small way, and is keen to do more writing of different kinds. She is also passionate about wildlife, especially birds and big cats, volunteers for nature conservation, and is keen to recover quickly and stay well enough to be able to play an active role as an Earth Protector and activist against species extinction.

Please help Sally to get on with the job of living her life to the full while trying to improve it for others. All funds generously donated (except for the small transaction fee charged by the fundraising platform) will be spent on Sally's inpatient treatment before and after the operation, associated accommodation and travel, and her subsequent home injection maintenance programme.

Your positive thoughts, prayers and messages of support are equally valuable.

Please feel free to share this.

Sally is currently feeling fine although a trifle shaky, and constantly strives to maintain her usual cheerful self.

Thank you very much. You should be able to post anonymously on this site if you wish, or could contact myself or Sally direct if you wish to give something privately or don't like the technology!
