This is Salah Al-Najjar, a 21 year old Palestinian in Gaza. He and his family face starvation, horrific conditions, and the constant threat of violence against them in this genocide.

LATEST UPDATE: WINTER IS HERE! Salah and his family urgently need food and supplies. Their tent has tears, causing the cold wind and rain get in, which make them sick. Salah was recently sick for several days. Flour currently costs $150 for a 25kg bag, 1 nylon tarp (several needed to cover the tent) costs $130, and a winter blanket costs $90. If they can’t get their nutritional and supply needs met, Salah and his family will continue to get sick, which puts their lives at risk!

Before, Salah was a business administration student at university. His passion is photography and he hopes to one day have his own photography business.

He and his parents (no siblings) have been forcibly displaced countless times now — originally being forced to leave their hometown of Khuza’a in eastern Khan Younis.

The conditions of Gaza are unthinkable. Their tent is tattered and torn from multiple displacements and doesn’t keep out the freezing temperatures. There is little food or drinkable water. Salah and his parents will go days without eating, or eat just a meager portion for one meal a day. Infection and disease are rampant, there is no waste management--so trash and waste pile up around them. Everything and everywhere is unsafe and unsanitary.

His family's displacement:

After fleeing Khuza’a, they eventually reached Rafah, but have since been displaced AGAIN many more times, due to the Rafah invasion (in May), the several forced evacuations of eastern Khan Younis (July-Aug). Each displacement costthem HUNDREDS of dollars and precious energy that they truly can't afford to expend. They had to choose between huge costs for transportation OR walking far distances, carrying what little they have (leaving the tent behind). His aging parents are expected to make this death march every few weeks?!

Therefore, the circumstances his family is facing has finally pushed him to turn to this platform, requesting your support.

His family ultimately hopes to evacuate Gaza when the Rafah Crossing reopens, but they are in desperate need of basic necessities to survive RIGHT NOW.

How the funds will be securely transferred:

I (Faranak) will receive these funds directly to my US-based bank account. I will then send them to Salah and his family via PayPal. They will use the funds to purchase what they need in the markets, which helps them survive.
