Help Send Sakura to BONFIRE – A Life-Changing YWAM Mission in California & Mexico

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

My name is Stephanie Pangelinan, and I’m writing to ask for your help and prayers on behalf of my 13-year-old daughter, Sakura.

Sakura has been accepted into an incredible opportunity this summer called BONFIRE, a three-week revival and missions program run by Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Mendocino Coast. This program will take her from the peaceful redwoods of northern California to the mission fields of Vicente Guerrero, Mexico — and we need your help to get her there.

Why This Matters

Sakura has a beautiful heart for God and a deep desire to grow in her faith and serve others. BONFIRE is more than just a summer program — it’s a transformative journey that will help her discover her identity in Christ, develop strong spiritual foundations, and step out in bold faith to help others in need.

What is BONFIRE?

BONFIRE is a three-week discipleship and missions intensive hosted by YWAM Mendocino Coast for high school students. It’s divided into two life-changing phases:

1. Lecture Phase (California):

Sakura will join other youth to explore powerful biblical topics like:

• Who is God?

• Identity in Christ

• Hearing God’s Voice

• Worship & Intercession

• The Father Heart of God

• Spiritual Warfare

• Power Evangelism

• Godly Relationships

With small groups, beach bonfires, river kayaking, hikes through redwoods, and heartfelt worship, this phase will ignite her passion for Jesus.

2. Outreach Phase (Mexico):

Sakura and her team will then travel to Baja California, Mexico to serve with YWAM Central Baja, where they will:

• Build a house for a local family in need

• Serve alongside churches and long-term missionaries

• Minister to the community through evangelism and acts of love

This is hands-on missions work that will stretch her heart and change lives — including her own.

Our Goal: $1,700

To make this dream a reality, we’re raising $1,700 to cover:

• $1,200 – BONFIRE tuition (includes housing, food, teaching, and outreach expenses)

• $300 – Flight and travel costs

• $200 – Spending money (passport, snacks, emergency needs, etc.)
