Support Sakura in Completing Her Music Minor

Hi, my name is Sakura, and I’m raising funds to help cover tuition for a summer music class I need in order to complete my music minor at Reed College. After exploring many options, the only course that met Reed’s academic requirements is being offered at UC Berkeley—but as an out-of-state student, the tuition is far beyond what I can afford on my own.

Music has been part of my life for over 16 years. I play violin and have trained as a Suzuki violin teacher (Books 1–4). At Reed, I’ve participated in both orchestra and chamber music programs, and I plan to continue playing and hopefully teaching music throughout my life. Earning my music minor is more than just checking a box for my degree—it’s a way to honor the lifelong role music has played in shaping who I am and what I hope to give back.
