Support Sakoya: A mother of 3 in a time of need.

Hello, my name is Jade and I am looking to raise funds to help support my sister, Sakoya LaDeaux, as she continues to battle with her health. For those of you who know Sakoya, know that she has a huge heart. Sakoya is a wonderful mom to 3 kiddos that depend on her to take care of them. Sakoya, better known by the community of Plains as Nurse Sakoya, gives all that she has to not only her kids, but to all of the children of Plains.

10 years ago, Sakoya was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. The last few weeks have been especially hard, so much so that she is now hospitalized and scheduled to undergo an unexpected, drastic, and life-changing surgery this week. Sakoya has been unable to work her second job over the last couple of weeks due to this dramatic decline and is now unable to return to work at either of her jobs for, at the very least, the next 2-3 months. This is an unexpected hit financially, and I am asking for help from those who are able and feel inclined to donate.

Over the last several years, you may have been in contact with Sakoya and had no idea the physical and mental battles she was and is currently fighting when it comes to her health. This autoimmune disorder has taken over Sakoya’s life for a decade now. We are hopeful that this surgery will improve Sakoya’s quality of life. With financial help she will be able to prioritize her recovery, rather than getting back to work sooner than her body may be ready for.

I know that your thoughts and prayers would mean the most to Sakoya as she undergoes this surgery that will hopefully help her take back control over her health and give her the ability to live a more normal life.
