Meet Sakoi.

Sakoi is a beautiful baby boy born in the beautiful Virgin Islands on June 20th, 2025. Sakoi was born with a cleft lip and palate at birth.

A cleft lip is an opening in the upper lip that may extend into the nose. The opening may be on one side, both sides, or in the middle. A cleft palate occurs when the palate contains an opening into the nose.

In Sakoi's case, it was just something that happened. Many forms of testing were done to rule out any causes.

The overall probability of a baby being born with a cleft lip and/or palate is about 1 in 700 births worldwide.

Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft condition, and many need surgery to change their lives. We're raising money for Sakoi who needs a life-changing cleft repair, and your support is crucial.

Cleft lip and palate can cause problems with eating, hearing, and may also have issues with their teeth or self-esteem.

Sakoi was born in the VI where options for medical attention are very limited, so because of that, he is a patient at the Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami. Therefore, we are also raising money to help with Sakoi's travel and other expenses like housing and transportation.
