Saint Jawn Cinema is an underground microcinema founded in the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee. We started this project to contribute to the film community through curated outdoor screenings in our street-front garden on Center St.

Our DIY setup was formed in the fall of 2023, in the spirit of pirate radio. Regular Saint Jawn Cinema events are and will always be FREE and open.

We have grown a modest following in three years and aim to use our platform to collaborate with and support other projects and missions in Milwaukee’s film community. With equipment upgrades, we earnestly hope to expand our work through our own programming and through providing infrastructure to collaborators.

We are raising money to invest in our AV equipment so that this labor of love may live on and reach further. Funds raised will be used to buy a 4K UHD high contrast projector and a portable cinema quality audio system. The humble AV setup we have now has been enough to show us what joy is possible, and the gear we’re seeking now will equip us with the means to create an immersive experience to be shared freely.

Any contribution helps and is greatly appreciated. We never thought our project could have the impact it now has, and with this investment we want double down our commitment to being part of this community as we evolve what we have started here. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your support!
