Hello! I'm Denise, and I'm an employee at The Admiral at the Lake retirement community. Late last week, we discovered there was a young cat trapped on the 4th level of our parking garage. With nothing but a dream to catch this little cutie, I placed food in a trap in the area she was last seen. With the help of members of our evening Concierge team, we were able to safely catch this little one, who we've affectionately and appropriately named Sailor.
In taking Sailor to the vet, it was determined that she is not chipped, so we will be seeking a loving home for her. Sailor is about 6 months old, just over 5 pounds, and is a little lovebug! She loves pets and human attention and is especially receptive to vocal cues and spoken affirmation. Given that and the general cleanliness of her coat, we gather that she wasn't outside for much time, but we would still like to do our due diligence of making sure she is spayed and fully vaccinated before being rehomed.
We have a connection with a local rescue working exclusively with cats, Cat Care and Rescue. They have offered to provide the following services for Sailor at a significantly discounted cost: exam, vaccinations (including FVRCP, Rabies, and FeLV), Trio series (to address any potential heartworms, roundworms, fleas, ticks, and mites), as well as spaying. Any contribution you could make to help support Sailor's medical care would be so greatly appreciated!
Please note: Any additional funds raised over our goal will be donated directly to the rescue for their efforts.
