Hello, my name is Saher Al-Hannawi. I am from northern Gaza, Palestine.
Before the war, my family and I were living a normal and stable life in our home. Everything changed suddenly when the war began. Our house was completely bombed and destroyed, and we were forced to flee with nothing.
We were displaced many times. First, we fled to the south of Gaza. During a brief ceasefire in January 2025, we returned to the north, where we lived in a tent inside a school for two months. When the ceasefire was broken and the fighting resumed, we were forced to flee again—this time from northern Gaza to Gaza City, where we lived in a tent in the Sheikh Radwan area.
During this time, a severe famine spread across Gaza. There was no food or clean water, and we suffered from extreme hunger and thirst. We risked our lives trying to access humanitarian aid, which was targeted multiple times. By God’s mercy, we survived.
As the situation worsened, we were displaced again to Deir al-Balah in the south, paying nearly $2,000 in transportation costs just to escape danger. After another ceasefire was announced in October, we returned once more to northern Gaza.
Today, we are living in a fragile tent that floods when it rains. We have no home, no stable shelter, and no source of income. Our lives, our home, and our future have been destroyed by this war.
I am sharing my story to ask for help. The funds raised will be used for basic survival needs, including:
Safe shelter and tent repairs
Food and clean drinking water
Basic living expenses and transportation
Emergency needs as conditions change
Any support—whether through donations or sharing this campaign—means hope and dignity for my family during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with the people of Gaza.
