Support Sage's Recovery After Car Accident
Donation protected
Hello friends,
My oldest daughter, Sage, was in an accident early this morning, Nov 23rd.
She was on her way to work, driving around 55 mph (speed limit), when a deer jumped out in front of her. She swerved but hit a big tree, totaling her car.
She was thankfully wearing a seatbelt, and the airbag did deploy, but she is in the hospital because she is hurting in different places, mostly her hand, wrist, and neck. I will update later when I know more.
She just turned 23 years old and works a steady job, but she's going to have some hardships coming up, especially if she can't work for a while. She does not have anything in savings, and bills are going to add up quickly because she has no medical insurance. She is scared, and I am too. I wish I could say I could help her, but I can't. I live on disability, and things for me are always tight. I'm sure many of us are in hardships right now.
I'm putting this out now in case she has bills coming due that she cannot quite pay due to this accident, or in case someone other than me can suggest what steps she can take to help herself. She has liability insurance for the car, but we're not sure if it covers this type of accident, and without a car, she will have major challenges getting to work when she has recovered.
If any of my friends can donate, even if it's $10 or $20, this momma won't be so scared for her right now.
Thank you so much, friends.
I will keep updating this post when I know more.
Update. My daughter has no broken bones but may have suffered some nerve damage in her hand and wrist. She won't know until she sees a specialist. She most likely also suffered a concussion as well as a cut to her check along with swelling and a black eye.
She is okay though and that's all that matters.
Her car only had liability so we're sure this won't be covered and she did total it.
She has finally went to sleep and I'm a thankful Mom she is able to rest now thanks to some painkillers.
We're not sure when she'll be able to go back to work and she is now without a vehicle.
Thank you to all who have sent well wishes and to those whom have donated you are so appreciated.
Will update tomorrow.
