Support Sage's Fight Against Heart Failure

Hello all. My name is Stormie and my family is in dire need of financial help due to mounting medical bills. If you know this family at all, you’ll know we don’t like to ask for help…so we don’t. However, it seems like lately we can’t catch a break. As most of you may know, we have dealt with our father being sick for the last decade and it truly has taken a toll on all of us, mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, etc. When we feel like we can finally come up for air, we’re hit again with another member of our family being sick, and diagnosed with yet another life threatening illness.

Sage is my youngest nephew at 28 years old. He is my sister's youngest baby and therefore one of the babies of our family. He’s one of the funniest, goofiest, gayest boys you’ll ever meet and will make you laugh until you cry. He truly makes our family complete. He’s helped me with so much over the years and is always ready to help anyone who may need it so I feel like the least I can do is try and help him however I can. For the last several years, Sage has been dealing with multiple severe health conditions, one of which has taken his sight almost completely. We want to be able to get him healthy enough for the surgery that may restore some of that sight however, that's more of a long term goal right now. He has way too much life to live and things and people to see. He would insert a dirty joke here but I’ll leave that to him.

The problem is though that we just learned that he’s now currently in congestive heart failure. This makes everything all the more scary and difficult and has halted his eye surgery. We choose to focus on the positive which is that it’s completely possible doctors can stop the progression with certain treatments. It may take a lot of trial and error and we are willing to do whatever it takes but of course this will be costly. With having to take Sage and our dad back and forth weekly (sometimes daily) to their appointments in the medical center, this has unfortunately, caused a huge financial strain on our family. From gas to parking to missing work, etc. it’s been difficult to just breathe and keep our heads above water because regular everyday life and bills don't stop. Sage obviously cannot work right now though once he’s better, that’s all he wants to do.

Sage used to run the streets like the little harlot he is and damn it, I can’t wait to see him do that again. He used to ride everywhere with me, “car secrets” as we call it lol he used to go back and forth with me to dad's appointments when no one else would or could. We have so many stories together and I just want to continue making more of them so we want to make sure he’s able to make each and every appointment. We understand times are tough for everyone right now but if you’re able to help at all, we are truly grateful. Even $5 helps us get to the hospital and back, pays for some of parking, or maybe it’ll buy him some “waiting room snacks”. Lol We are hoping to just raise enough money to maybe not have to worry so much about the small stuff, if even for a week, so we can focus on his treatments and getting him back to where he needs to be. Sage deserves this and so much more and I can’t wait to see him overcome all of this. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your help.
