In 2021, the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan. Girls were banned from attending school after 6th grade. Since 2023, our small group of mentors, PEARL (Providing Education and Resources for Learning), has been helping girls to find online alternatives for education. With this Go Fund Me campaign, PEARL will support SAGE (Support for Afghan Girls' Education), a Rhode Island 501c3 nonprofit that sponsors an education center in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Through SAGE, 10 girls have passed the GED (the US high school equivalency degree) and more are preparing to take the test. Several have already earned scholarships to attend universities outside of Afghanistan. But before they can start their new university life, each girl will need about $2000 to pay for visas and travel.

Your donation to SAGE will enable these motivated and talented Afghan women to continue their education and fulfill their dreams.
