Support Safer Paths at Crocheron Park

Who am I?

Hello! I am Aiden Wang, a junior at Brooklyn Technical High School (electrical engineering major) and a Life Scout of Scouting America Troop 153, located in Little Neck/Douglastion, NY.

What am I doing?

I am working on my Eagle Project to provide a safer traveling experience around Golden Pond of Crocheron Park, Bayside. The project will assemble and transport 5 wooden platforms measuring approximately 12 feet long and 4 feet wide each — totaling about 240 square feet of area. These platforms aim to fix the muddy and hazardous path caused by rain and potential pond flooding, decreasing the chance of accidents and injuries.

How will the money be used?

The funding collected by this fundraiser will be used to purchase materials such as lumber and nails for this project. In addition, food and refreshments will be provided to volunteers. Any remaining funds will be given to the project beneficiary (NYC Parks), a charity of their choice, or the troop (Troop 153).
