Help 60 Vulnerable Children in Uganda Find Hope, Food, and a Safe Future

Every child deserves to go to bed with a full stomach, a safe place to sleep, and the opportunity to go to school. Sadly, for 60 vulnerable children in Busia, Uganda, that is not their reality.

My name is Mukisa Oscar and I am the founder of Buhicha Children's Foundation, a small nonprofit that began in 2024 with one simple mission: to ensure no child is forgotten.

Our Story

Two years ago, I saw children wandering the streets, hungry, homeless, and without anyone to care for them. Some had lost both parents. Others had been abandoned or were living in extreme poverty. I could not walk away.

With nothing but faith, compassion, and the support of kind-hearted people, I opened Buhicha Children's Foundation. Today, we care for 60 children, providing them with food, shelter, education, and the love every child deserves.

Every day is a challenge. There are days when we don't know where the next meal will come from. We pray, share the little food we have, and do everything possible to keep these children safe. No child should have to wonder if they will eat today or have a place to sleep tonight.

Why We Need Your Help

Today, we urgently need to raise $5,000 to keep our children safe, healthy, and in school.

Without this support, many of these children could lose their daily meals, be forced to leave school, or even lose the home that protects them from life on the streets.

Your generosity will provide stability, hope, and a brighter future for children who have already experienced more hardship than any child should.

How Your Donation Will Be Used

Food for Two Months – $800

Your donation will provide rice, beans, maize flour, cooking oil, and other essential groceries to prepare nutritious meals for all 60 children for two months.

Education – $2,200

These funds will pay school fees and provide uniforms, shoes, books, exercise books, and learning materials so all 60 children can attend school this term and continue building a better future.

Safe Housing – $1,500

This will pay one full year of rent for the children's home. The house gives the children a safe place to sleep, eat, study, and grow together as a family. Without this home, many of these children would have nowhere to go and could end up back on the streets.

Medicine and Emergency Care – $500

These funds will cover medicines, clinic visits, first aid supplies, and emergency medical treatment whenever a child becomes sick or injured.
