Support Saeko's Recovery Journey

Dear friends,

I'm reaching out today to ask for your support for Saeko Makino and her wonderful family, who are going through a difficult time right now. Saeko is recovering from a serious horseback riding accident that happened a little over three weeks ago where she sustained significant injuries. She had to be hospitalized and underwent two major surgeries. After spending over two weeks recovering in the hospital, she was finally able to go home on June 9th. While Saeko is in good spirits, she has a long road to recovery. She is confined to a special device to protect her upper body for three months and is relying on a wheelchair to get around the house. She is focused on intensive physical therapy to regain her mobility including walking again that may take up to six months to fully recover.

As we can all imagine, her injuries and recovery timeline has put a significant burden on Saeko and her family. I know many of her friends are wondering how they can help, so that is why we have started this GoFundMe page to assist her in any way possible to support her road to a full recovery.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly to Saeko toward:

• Covering medical expenses

• Supporting Saeko and her family while she heals

• Helping them stay afloat without financial strain

When we shared the fact with Saeko that we would start the GoFundMe page, she said that she is deeply moved, truly grateful to everyone wishing her good health and a speedy recovery, and thankful for their support.
