Help Us Lay Our Sister to Rest and Support Her Family in Grief

With an aching heart, I share the sudden and devastating loss of my beloved cousin, Sadiya, who tragically drowned at just 24 years old.

She was not just my cousin, she was my sister. I watched her grow up. I watched her fight hard for her family. And now, I’m struggling to understand how someone so full of life is no longer here with us. But they say Allah (SWT) takes His favorites early, and I find comfort in believing that she is now in His mercy.

My sweet Sadiya was the sole provider for her household. She carried the weight of the world on her shoulders with grace and strength. She leaves behind her devoted mother and three siblings, all of whom were younger than her. Their grief is deep, and their loss is beyond words.

This is a post I never thought I’d have to make, and one I wish I didn’t have to make this soon, but the need is urgent. I’m starting this GoFundMe so the family doesn’t have to worry about finances while they mourn the unimaginable. I want them to be able to focus on their healing, their prayers, and their memories, not bills and logistics.

Funds will go toward:

• Burial expenses

• Immediate support for her mother and siblings

• Ongoing needs during this difficult transition
