Hi, I’m Emily. Asking for help isn’t easy for me—but right now, I’m doing it for someone who means the world to me: my dog Sadie.
Sadie recently tore a ligament in her back leg, and what started as a partial tear unfortunately progressed into a complete tear, even after following our vet’s initial advice to rest and take it easy. When she continued to struggle, we sought a second opinion, and that vet confirmed the severity of her injury and gave us a referral to a specialist.
Sadie now needs TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery, along with extra-capsular stabilization due to a meniscus tear. These procedures are necessary to relieve her pain and help her walk and run again.
I took her to Colorado Canine Orthopedics, and the estimated cost for surgery, equipment, and medications is between $4,725 and $5,425 (see estimate in photos).
Sadie is more than just a pet—she’s my absolute best friend. She’s been by my side through thick and thin, always full of love, loyalty, and joy. It’s been heartbreaking to see her in pain and unable to enjoy the things she loves most. I can’t wait to have my hiking buddy back—to see her tail wagging on the trail, nose in the breeze, and paws hitting the dirt again.
I’m doing everything I can, but If you’re able to contribute—whether it’s $1 or simply sharing this—it would mean the world to us. Every single bit helps Sadie get one step closer to recovery.
Thank you so much for reading, caring, and supporting my girl.
