Support Sadie and Tawny's Journey to a New Family

Sadie and Tawny are two sweet, senior dogs who recently lost their beloved dad, Mike. Mike was a senior citizen with mobility challenges who loved his dogs to the end of the earth. When his husband passed in 2021, the bond with the dogs became even more important. Now that he has passed unexpectedly, Sadie and Tawny are left without their person. They need our help to find a loving home where they can continue to receive the care and affection they deserve.

Meet Sadie

Sadie is a 12-year-old black lab mix. 10 years ago, she was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky. Now, she’s confused and grieving the loss of her dad. She’s a sweet and gentle girl who loves to curl up on the couch with you. She’s longing for stability and companionship in her golden years.

Meet Tawny

Tawny is a 10-year-old German Shepherd mix. She’s curious, playful, and loves to run around the yard with excitement. Though she’s still learning to walk on a leash, she’s already making great progress and showing her bright and loving personality. Tawny is smart, active, and ready to make new memories with a caring family.

Why a GoFundMe?

Sadie and Tawny are both older dogs. Finding them a new home will take time. Older dogs are often overlooked, despite being wonderful companions who have so much love to give. In the meantime, they need financial support for their care. Here’s where you can make a difference:

Kibble: for the girls costs about $75 per 30lb bag. Each bag lasts about a month.

Veterinary care: While we’ll be getting them checked out and up to date with vaccinations, we anticipate additional medical expenses as both girls will likely need some dental work which will be just shy of $1000 per dog.

Your donation will help cover their food, vet visits, and other needs while we search for their perfect forever home.
