Hello everyone,
My name is Sabrina Hawley and I am currently a junior at Emmaus Bible College, pursuing a degree in Intercultural Studies. I am passionate about sharing the gospel through music, sports, outreach, and discipleship. As the vice president of the Student Missionary Fellowship at Emmaus, I take an active role in coordinating and participating in various evangelistic events. Additionally, I serve on the worship team and the mission and outreach team at Anchor Community Church. My previous experience includes working as a supervisor for a teen discipleship program at Lake Geneva Youth Camp, where I developed leadership and mentoring skills.
On January 15, I will be traveling to Bogotá in order to start my internship. Over the course of three months, I will immerse myself in learning Spanish, actively engage with the local church and its ministries, and deepen my understanding of the culture and community.
The church I will be joining is called Aposento Alto LA VID. They are deeply committed to outreach, particularly through their unique circus ministry. Even with my limited Spanish skills, they warmly welcomed me into their community and extended opportunities for me to serve alongside them.
Despite the amazing ministry that I will be apart of, I am in need of $3,500. This specific amount would cover flight expenses, language classes, lodging, and other basic living expenses.
Additionally, I will be sending out bi-weekly newsletters to share updates about the ministry. This will allow me to keep my family, friends, donors, and local church informed about my work and experiences throughout the three months.
