Our dear friend Sabrina has been through an incredibly difficult year, and right now she needs our support more than ever. Last week, Sabrina experienced severe breathing problems during two of her classes and had to be rushed to the ICU. She was later admitted to Kaiser, where she stayed for five days. Doctors discovered blood clots in her lungs, making it extremely difficult for her to breathe. Because of this, Sabrina will not be able to work for a while as she focuses on healing and recovery.

At the same time, Sabrina is facing another heartbreaking challenge. Her father is currently battling cancer, and doctors have shared that he may only have a few weeks to a few months left. Sabrina is taking family leave so she can spend this precious time caring for him and being by his side. As many of you know, Sabrina works incredibly hard. She teaches elementary school, teaches at a nursing school, and also leads multiple fitness classes each week at Lifetime and 24 Hour Fitness. Missing this much work means she is losing a significant portion of her income.

This year alone Sabrina has already endured a serious leg injury, a bad car accident, and now this life-threatening health issue. The financial stress of rent and bills is the last thing she should have to worry about while recovering and spending time with her dad. Sadly, Sabrina’s dad passed away this week and Sabrina was not able to see him in person before he passed. She will still be joining her siblings to say goodbye to their father.
