On November 23rd, our family's world was turned completely upside down. Our incredible mother, Sabrina, was unexpectedly diagnosed with a life-threatening brain aneurysm. The situation was so critical that she had to be immediately flighted to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, one of the best facilities in the region, to receive the specialized, rapid care she desperately needed.
For those who know her, you know Sabrina is the definition of strength, kindness, selflessness, and joy. She is a devoted mother, a cherished MiMi, a loving wife, and a loyal friend to so many. Her energy and spirit light up every room she enters, and she has always been the pillar of support for our family and community. Now, she is fighting the toughest battle of her life, and it is our turn to be her pillar.
Since arriving at Emory, she has undergone multiple critical surgeries to treat the aneurysm and mitigate any further damage. We are overjoyed and deeply grateful to share that she has been an absolute warrior, showing remarkable strength and perseverance. The surgeries, though complex and incredibly demanding, have thankfully been successful, and she is recovering well from each procedure.
However, the road ahead is long. While we celebrate every small victory, her condition requires intensive monitoring and continuous care. The medical team anticipates a lengthy and extended hospital stay, followed by a period of rigorous rehabilitation to ensure a full and lasting recovery.
While we are focusing all our energy on Mom's healing, the financial stress is mounting rapidly. With Sabrina being our primary/a crucial earner, her unexpected and prolonged hospitalization has put an immediate strain on our ability to cover necessary monthly expenses, including:
• Rent: To keep a roof over her head for when she finally comes home.
• Utility Bills & Insurance: To maintain household stability.
• Groceries & Essential Supplies: For the rest of the family while we are constantly traveling to be by her side.
• Fuel/Parking/Accommodation Costs: For the trips back and forth to Emory, which is a considerable distance from our home.
The initial medical costs—especially the emergency flight and multiple specialized surgeries—are overwhelming, but our most immediate and pressing need is to cover the essential household bills to prevent further hardship and allow us to focus entirely on her care and recovery without the constant worry of losing stability at home.
We understand that not everyone can donate financially, but any level of support will make a tremendous difference and relieve an immense weight from our shoulders during this incredibly vulnerable time.
• Donate: Any amount, big or small, will go directly toward maintaining our household and supporting Sabrina's extended recovery needs. You can donate right here on this page.
• Share: Please share this campaign far and wide on all your social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), via email, or text. The more people who see her story, the greater chance we have of reaching our goal.
• Pray/Send Positive Energy: We appreciate all the thoughts, prayers, and positive energy you can send our way for her continued strength and successful healing.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your kindness, and for supporting our family during this difficult journey. We will continue to post updates on Sabrina's progress.
Please help us bring our vibrant, loving Mom home, healed and worry-free.
With deepest gratitude,
The Cronham Family
