Help Sabriah make rent and pay her gas, electric, and phone bill this month.
My current employers are refusing to pay me. They have threatened to charge me $1,200 if I don't return the store keys and gave me a two-hour notice (but refuse to tell me the status of my employment). They have now blocked my phone number and have a history of doing this with previous employees.
I am in the process of filing a claim with the New York State Department of Labor to receive compensation for the last two weeks of work, but that can take several months to resolve.
They have removed me from the schedule for the rest of my shifts and are withholding the $1,000 that I was supposed to receive as soon as today - and have told me that there is nothing they can do to get me the money and said they will no longer communicate with me.
At this point, I am asking for assistance of $1,500 - which should allow me to pay my rent, phone bill, gas, and electric.
I understand there are many people in need of urgent assistance - anything you can contribute is appreciated! And if your job is also playing with your money (i.e. wage theft, unlawful termination, and discriminatory practices) and you don't have it on you right now - please share!

P.S. Wage Theft occurs when employers do not pay workers according to the law.
