Hi everyone,

Our family is coming together to support Ry as he faces one of his toughest battles yet. In September 2024, what began as some pain in his ankle turned into a diagnosis of Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that primarily affects the bones and soft tissue, mostly in children and young adults.

Ry is preparing for approximately a year of treatment: three months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, and then another eight or so months of chemotherapy, and possibly radiation as well. There is a high possibility that surgery will involve amputation, and he may need prosthetics to help him live life to the fullest. This journey will be difficult—not just physically and emotionally, but also financially.

Ry is a hardworking, active young man who has always been there for those around him. Now, as he focuses on his recovery, we want to help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with this type of treatment. Medical bills, travel for appointments, time away from work, day-to-day living expenses, and the potential cost of prosthetics quickly add up.

We’ve set a fundraising goal of $50,000, which is ambitious, but we want to be prepared for whatever the road ahead brings. A more realistic goal is somewhere between $25,000 and $30,000, and any amount donated will make a meaningful difference.
