Painting A Path For Rylie

Donation protected
Advanced metastatic brain cancer at terminal stage Rylie came home for fall break in November and started having health challenges. The left side of her face went numb, and she was having excruciating migraine headaches. She spent all of December and January in bed with status migrainosis, and eventually had to be hospitalized to break the headache. Despite MRI scans in December and January showing no change, Rylie was forced to take a medical leave of absence from school.

In March, just before she was set to return to SCAD for spring quarter, Rylie’s oncologist ordered another MRI. This time, a tumor was found in her brain that had grown significantly and was bleeding, along with several blood clots and increased intracranial pressure. A new tumor was also identified on her left optic nerve. On March 19th, Rylie underwent a 9-hour brain surgery where three tumors were biopsied. On March 25th, her family received the devastating news that two of the three tumors showed metastatic brain cancer from the Rhabdoid tumor diagnosed in 2023. Now, Rylie has less than six months to live.

Rylie’s family is hoping to help her fulfill a medical bucket list and support her passion for art with supplies during this precious time. Any support will help Rylie make the most of her time and bring comfort and joy to her and her family. Please consider donating to help her create meaningful memories.
