Hello, my name is Ryleigh. My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. She had been sick for about a month with horrible stomach pain. We honestly thought she had E. coli from a hard-boiled egg. That's when the pain started. She figured it would go away. It did not. The pain got so bad she finally went into the emergency room and had tests run. They found a blockage in her large colon and could see something else. The doctor referred her to a gastroenterologist to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy done. That's when they found a 4cm mass on the right side of her large intestine. That doctor referred her to one of the best surgeons, absolutely amazing him and his staff. He went in and was able to remove the mass and 22 inches of her large colon. They also removed 42 lymph nodes. They had a biopsy done and one of the lymph nodes was cancerous. He then referred her to an oncologist. They started chemotherapy. This whole ordeal has been very scary and extremely hard on my family. My mom hasn't worked since August. It's been too hard with her being sick, in pain, and now having to quarantine away from everyone so she doesn't get sick in the process since her immune system is wiped out. She has applied for unemployment and was denied due to not being able to work, even with all the doctor's notes. She doesn't qualify for Social Security. She doesn't qualify for food stamps because she can't work. Things have been very hard without my mom's income for our family.

I hate to ask for help but with the cost of medical bills, gas, hotel, and food for her treatments, with one income it's become very difficult to pay for our normal bills and now everything for her diagnosis. I'm grateful for any help, even sharing. Thank you and God Bless.
